Rewards Program T&Cs
1. The Diners Club Rewards Programme ('the Programme') is based on a point system linked to the use of the Diners Club card ('the Card'). Subject to the general terms and conditions set forth below, each cardholder may be entitled to benefits under the Programme. This Programme is part of the service Diners Club offers its cardholders.
2. The Programme means that the cardholder receives a Club Rewards point for every € 5 charged to the Card in Belgium as well as in other countries.
3. The points are awarded for all payments made with the Card, however, cash withdrawals, the annual fee, transactions at petrol stations, tolls paid on motorways, insurance premiums, payments made in combination with points to obtain Club Rewards gifts, and deductions, discounts or refunds by Diners Club and certain airlines are excluded from the Programme. Extra points can be earned through promotional programmes which will be announced in due time.
4. The points are stated on the monthly statements as extra service. The points entitle the cardholder to choose from a wide range of products and services as offered in the Club Rewards Programme operated by Diners Club.
5. Diners Club is not liable for payment in currency of the value, in part or whole, of the offered products and services.
6. Club Rewards points retain their value for a period of 36 months following the date on which they were awarded as specified on the statement. Points that are not exchanged after 3 years, will expire.
7. The gift range and the number of points are given for indication and can be modified at any moment without preliminary notice.
8. The Programme applies to individual Diners Club cards for private use unless explicitly mentioned otherwise by Diners Club. If the cardholder owns more than 1 card or if the expenses of more than 1 cardholder are debited to one account, the points can be combined on the account in the name of the principal cardholder.
9. The points are awarded under the following conditions:
- If a payment resulting in Club Rewards points is cancelled, the corresponding number of points is cancelled;
- The points specified on the monthly statement can be used immediately following execution of the minimum payment owed to Diners Club;
- In case the term of payment of the monthly statement of a certain month is not met and has been exceeded by 90 days, all points acquired by the cardholder expire and the total will be reset at zero.
- When Diners Club terminates the contract with the cardholder, all points are cancelled automatically;
- In case the cardholder cancels the subscription, all points expire at once.
10. Diners Club is authorised to suspend or terminate the Programme. Moreover, Diners Club reserves the right to alter the conditions of the Programme or terminate the Programme without prior notification to the cardholders. However, in such a case cardholders maintain their acquired points and the resulting rights for the duration of maximum six months.
11. Diners Club is not liable for any taxes levied, which would result from taking part in the Club Rewards Programme.
12. Diners Club cannot be held liable for any mistakes or printing errors in the Programme's communication tools.
13. Should any disputes arise from the implementation of the Club Rewards Programme, then the cardholder is committed to appeal to the Management of Diners Club for mediation before taking other measures.
14. During the term of validity of the Programme the cardholder has the right to exchange points for products or services which are offered through the Club Rewards Programme. However, this is only possible under the condition that all unpaid monthly statements have been settled, as stipulated in point 9 above. The cardholder must use the order forms provided for this purpose.
15. Products will only be delivered to addresses in the Benelux. P.O. Boxes are not allowed as delivery address.
